Information we need to provide you with a quote

Print this page off and use it to record and check the information required.

1.Send as much detail as possible of the carpet(s) you want us to quote for. Some firms (especially multiple carpet stores) will re-name carpet ranges to try and prevent you from getting rival quotes, so give as much detail as possible (i.e. Range Name, Supplier, Pattern Number, Pattern Name, which outlet you saw the carpet in). Check the available widths of the carpet. All this information is usually provided on the carpets label. The more detail you provide the more likely we will be able to find even an altered range name in our database.

2.>Measuring : Take great care, incorrect measurements can be very costly. If in any doubt arrange a measure by calling 01524 381157. Indicate if you are providing exact room sizes or actual order sizes. Its is normal to allow 75mm (3 inches) on each length to allow for cutting in. Take care when measuring and planning.

a) Rooms : Measure the full width of the room into the door jam and the full length. If there are alcoves or a bay window measure the depth and width.

a) Irregular areas : when measuring a hall or a landing or any irregular area: measure everything.

b) Measuring Stairs and half landings: follow the diagrams below. Remember to count the number of stairs.

We recommend that you double check all measurements.

3. Calculating quantities: This can be tricky for anyone outside the trade, especially when planning the installation for a hall, stairs and landing. If you are in any doubt, we recommend the following; FAX or email ROOM SIZES and/or ROOM PLANS and we will work out the amount of carpet you require. (These instructions will help you obtain our lowest prices possible, we will make a charge for additonal planning services.)

Alternatively, most reputable carpet fitters will measure and plan the work. If we have an approved carpet fitter in your area we can arrange for him to measure and plan the work (there is a charge but this can be reclaimed against any order).Recommend a carpet fitter

4. Other information : If you want to use one of our approved carpet fitters, we will require information on the type of floors that the carpets are being installed onto i.e. wood, chipboard, concrete, stone, tile. Indicate on any room plan which direction the natural light falls. Indicate if the room has French Doors (external glass doors), and the distance between them and the edge of the carpet. Many carpets will be affected by regular exposure to strong sunlight.

5. Delivery. We will need your Name & Address details, Tel and/or Fax No at the time of order, if you prefer you can give Name and Number only at this stage. We absolutely guarantee that we will not pass on any details to a third party, and any information given will remain strictly confidential. Although it is not absolutely essential at this stage, would be useful to indicate when and were the carpet can be delivered.( "i.e. delivery to home, no later than mid July"). We can give the most competitive quotes for large quantities of a single pattern or shade of carpet, so sometimes it needs more than one person to be available at the time of delivery.

If we spot anything that doesn't seem to correct, we will contact you.

A deposit will be required with an order, but we will not ask you for an money until you decide to proceed.

We accept all major credit cards.
